Important Kindergarten Information

We are so excited to meet all of our new students! We have several important dates that are designed to help your kindergartener transition smoothly into the school year. Please save these dates on your calendar and sign up for the events that require a registration.

August 12-13:  Kindergarten Kick-off

A fun and creative environment to get to know each other and give students a chance to get used to the classroom setting. Breakfast will be provided. 

August 14:  Class Lists Posted
Class lists will be posted on the front doors of the school after 3:00 p.m. so you can find your student's teacher.

August 17:  Supply Night
The building will be open from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and teachers will be in their classrooms. You may stop by to see the room, meet the teacher, and bring any supplies.

August 19 and 20:  Kindergarten Readiness Assessments
By appointment only. Schedule your assessment time here. All incoming kindergarten students are required by the state of Ohio to take the KRA. No preparation is necessary! Each KRA session will take approximately 30 minutes.  Teachers will work one-on-one with each student. Parents are welcome to drop their child off or wait in the lobby area. If you choose to drop off, please return within the 30 minute appointment slot. Choose a time below that works best for your child.  

August 21:   Kindergarten Orientation
Students with the last name of A-L come at 9:00 a.m., and students with the last name M-Z come at 12:00 p.m. There will be a program for both students and parents.

August 24:  First day of school! (Students in 1st-5th grade start on 8/19, KG starts 8/24)

The school opens at 8:20 for students eating breakfast and at 8:30 for all other students. School begins at 8:40 and students arriving after that time are tardy and must report to the office. The dismissal bell rings at 3:15. The teachers will go over arrival and dismissal at orientation.
